Did you know that UAC provides resources and support for parents and carers? Visit our website for access to resources on a range of topics, from selecting HSC subjects in Year 10 and deciding whether to drop a course in Year 11, to ATARs, accepting an offer to a tertiary course and more.
Parents of Year 12 students are encouraged to subscribe to UAC’s digital newsletter for parents, for the latest information, deadlines and advice to support their child on their journey to university.
Applications are open
UAC applications for study at uni in 2026 are now open for domestic students. International students can apply from 16 April.
Details of hundreds of semester 1, 2026 courses offered by UAC’s participating institutions are available on our website. More will be added over the next few months. Students who apply now should log back in to their application in August to take another look at the courses being offered and review their course preferences.
Starting an application: essential info
This year, students need the following details to start their UAC application:
Personal email address: For security reasons, when students start their application they will need to register with a personal email address and a password. They’ll then be sent an email to validate their details. Once they’ve done that, they will use their email address and password to log in to their application.
Year 12 student number and UAC PIN: We emailed UAC PINs to NSW and ACT students today using the email addresses NESA and ACT BSSS have on file. If any students didn’t receive this email, please ask them to call UAC on (+61 2) 9752 0200. Also remind NSW students to register a personal email address in their NESA Students Online account.
Students need to enter their Year 12 student number and UAC PIN early in the application. These details identify them as a 2025 Year 12 student, which means they’ll be able to apply for an early offer through the Schools Recommendation Scheme.
Unique Student Identifier (USI): At the request of institutions, this is now a mandatory field for domestic applicants who are Australian citizens. Students can quickly and easily create their USI or check if they already have one.
