STEM Excursion
11.04.24
Our students teamed up with peers from two other schools for a day-long exploration at the West Connex Control Center, delving into the world of civil engineering.

They had an exclusive look at the control center’s operations and learned how it coordinates with emergency services during crisis situations.

The highlight was a hands-on engineering challenge where students constructed a spaghetti tower and designed bridges, with guidance from real engineers. The boys successfully built the tallest tower of the day and came in second for the bridge building. Using paddle pop sticks and masking tape to make a bridge that could hold over 10kg.
