We started off our tour at the top of the hill, gaining some interesting facts about the history of Q station and the land on which it stands. We separated into two groups and started exploring – did you know that the Q Station was investigated as one of Sydney’s most haunted places? Spooky noises, handprints, temperature drops, voices and feelings of being pushed and grabbed have all been documented here. We couldn’t wait to have our own experiences!
We travelled around the Station – through the Postman’s office, incinerator, morgue, hospital, shower block, large ovens and laundry. Everywhere we went, there was a great photo opportunity. We edited our photos using Photoshop filters that turned them into grungy, haunted looking images and then used layers and double exposure to add vintage figures of children and ghosts. Our next project will be stitching all the photos together in a mini film with a spooky title page and ghostly smoke effects. We hope you like the results!
