Reconciliation Week
03.06.25
Last week, our College proudly observed National Reconciliation Week with a series of meaningful events and learning opportunities that deepened our understanding and commitment to reconciliation.

We began the week with a whole-school assembly, where students and staff reflected on this year’s theme and explored key concepts such as truth-telling, justice, and the importance of acknowledging the past to build a more inclusive future.

Throughout the week, stand-alone Religion lessons allowed students to engage in stage-appropriate learning around Reconciliation. These sessions focused on understanding Australia’s history from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives and identifying ways we can contribute to a more inclusive and respectful community.

A highlight of the week was our students’ participation in the Central Coast Reconciliation Week March, walking from Coast Shelter to Industree Group Stadium. We were especially proud of the small group of students who formed part of the official Guard of Honour, welcoming marchers into the stadium with the powerful sounds of the Yidaki (Didgeridoo) and clapsticks.

Reconciliation is more than a week—it is a journey. Thank you to all staff and students who contributed to the spirit of reflection, learning, and unity across our College community.
