School Recommendation Scheme Offers
As you are aware, the period for students to begin receiving information and offers through our Schools Recommendation Scheme (SRS) is almost here.
Students will receive communications during the HSC period to provide them with information to maximise their chances of receiving an offer from the University of Newcastle. To ensure that you are aware and informed of this process we have highlighted key dates below.
Wednesday 2 November – Thursday 3 November: Ahead of the November Round 1 major SRS Round, the University will be contacting applicants regarding their eligibility under the Schools Recommendation Scheme via email, phone call and SMS.
Thursday 3 November: To be considered for an SRS offer, students should have the University of Newcastle as their 1st preference in UAC by midnight on 3 November 2022.
Friday 11 November: The University of Newcastle will make unconditional SRS offers in November UAC Round 1 on Friday 11 November.
If students do not receive an offer through the SRS reassure them that there is a place for them at the University of Newcastle.
The University will continue to make unconditional SRS offers in later UAC offer rounds where students have changed their preferences.
Offers based on student’s ATARs will be made in the December UAC Round 2 (22 December 2022).
We also offer many pathways and entry options to give students the best chance of getting into uni. Some relate to specific degrees like our Subject Spotlight program, Diploma programs and our free enabling pathway programs like Open Foundation and Yapug.
If you have any questions regarding these offer rounds or admission schemes, please reach out to your Future Students Team contact or email futurestudents@newcastle.edu.au
