There’s no better way to assist your child make career decisions than listening and talking to the people in the know.

This week mandatory work placement begins for our Metals and Engineering students.   Employers provide students first-hand experience in some of the practicalities of every day work, thus building their employability skills.   Can I take this opportunity to remind all VET students and parents to return their Privacy Notice and Student Declaration sent out in March (see copy below).  This is a mandatory document requested by our Catholic School Office and is overdue.

All Year 11 students will be heading to the HSC and Careers Expo on Friday 1 June in Moore Park, Sydney.  This event provides students with the opportunity to talk to exhibitors about their career plans post HSC.  Over 150 exhibitors will be in attendance including universities, TAFE, training colleges, employers, industry organisations as well as others with HSC, career employment and gap year resources and information.  A permission note was emailed out to all parents (see copy below). Please return these by Wednesday 23 May.
