Breakfast With Books
17.08.23
The grand reopening of ‘Breakfast With Books’ couldn’t have come at a more opportune moment, with St Edward’s College celebrating Book Week in Week 5.

Every Wednesday morning, the kitchen attached to Room 57 transforms into a haven for book enthusiasts. Mrs Titheradge, with her passion for both books and fostering a love for reading, has been the driving force behind this unique club. The anticipation leading up to the reopening was palpable, and attendees were not disappointed.

The grand reopening brought forth a delightful spread that was a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds. Attendees were treated to a delectable breakfast, including the ever-popular Nutella Overnight Oats that have become the club’s signature dish. The aroma of good food mingled seamlessly with the spirit of literary exploration.

However, the excitement did not stop at the sumptuous breakfast. The event was peppered with a lucky dip draw that added an element of surprise and delight. From bookmarks to book lights, and even free vouchers to the club, participants left with tangible reminders of the morning’s celebration. This novel addition added an extra layer of excitement to the proceedings.

The success of the grand reopening was evident in the impressive turnout. With 38 students and staff members in attendance, this edition of ‘Breakfast With Books’ turned out to be the most successful morning ever. The event was not just about reading; it was a coming together of individuals who shared a common passion for literature and a zest for life.

Mrs Titheradge warmly invites everyone to join in every Wednesday, it’s not just about books – it’s about creating a space for reading, relaxation, and a sense of community. Moreover, let’s not forget the icing on the cake: the promise of the ‘cheapest breakfast on the coast.’ With ‘Breakfast With Books’ back in full swing, Book Week celebrations just got a whole lot more exciting.
