Year 12 Retreat
15.05.23
Year 12 were given the opportunity to participate in important spiritual experiences on their three day Retreat amid the peaceful and serene environment at the Mulgoa Retreat Centre. They didn’t waste the opportunity.

The boys were lead through reflection, prayer, bushwalks and discussions about ‘Images of God’, what it means to be a man in the 21st Century, goal setting, relationships, and the importance of communication. The celebration Liturgy organised by the students was very special as it is their last Retreat. Parents and staff should be very proud of the input and maturity shown by Year 12.

Guest speakers for the retreat were Mrs Sarah Evans and Ms Jessica Beagin. They both shared their stories and left the boys with lots to think about. Their talks were informative and challenging and were well received. The staff at Mulgoa could not speak highly enough of the boy’s positive attitude, friendliness, cooperation, courtesy, and willingness to enter completely into the spirit of the retreat.

Parent reflection and thank you:

As a parent , I have seen first-hand what a positive and rewarding experience it was for both my boys who were there at different times during the week. They had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the opportunity to bond with their peers further and reflect on life as it is for young men about to go out into the world. What a great, supportive environment this provides for all the students of Year 12 each year.

I know something like this doesn’t happen without considerable organisation, time and effort.

So, thank you.

Year 12 are a credit to their families and the College. A special thank you to all the Religious Education teachers in attendance and in particular Mr Beacroft our Leader of Mission and Identity, Mrs Palmer-Brown our Leader of Learning Religious Education, Mr Dell and Mr McCauley the Year 12 Pastoral Leader, for their leadership and guidance over the week.
