End of Term Message – Semester One Reports and Learning Conferences

As we conclude Term 2, I would like to extend my congratulations and sincere thanks to all students who have actively engaged in the academic, spiritual, social justice, and extra-curricular life of the College. Your commitment and enthusiasm have been truly commendable.

Semester One reports for Years 7–10, along with the Year 11 Term 2 Reports, will be available via the Compass Parent Portal on Friday, July 4. These reports offer valuable insights into student progress across the first half of the year. I encourage all students to thoughtfully reflect on the feedback provided, using it as a foundation to set meaningful learning goals for the remainder of the year.

Looking ahead, our Online Learning Conferences will take place on Thursday, July 31. These conferences are a vital opportunity for students to receive personalised feedback and engage in purposeful dialogue about their learning journey. At St Edward’s, our Aspiration Statement highlights our commitment to nurturing compassionate, curious, respectful, and autonomous learners. These conferences are designed to empower students to take ownership of their learning, with guidance provided to help them reflect on their Semester One achievements and set clear goals moving forward. We encourage all parents and carers to participate in these sessions alongside their sons, fostering a collaborative approach to learning and growth.

Finally, I wish all our students and their families a safe, restful, and enjoyable mid-year break. May the holidays offer a chance to recharge, celebrate achievements, and prepare for the exciting challenges of Term 3. Please note that Term 3 classes will commence on Tuesday, July 22.

Year 12 HSC Trial Examinations

Year 12 students will be sitting their Trial HSC Examinations from Monday August 4 until Monday August 18. These examinations contribute significantly to the final Higher School Certificate Assessment mark that is submitted to the NSW Education Standards Authority. All Year 12 students are encouraged to use the upcoming term break wisely to best prepare themselves for these examinations. I would like to wish all of Year 12 the very best of luck in these examinations.
