Edmund Rice Education Australia Touchstone

Inclusive Community

As a Catholic School in the Edmund Rice tradition, we deeply listen to all voices in order to build communities of safety, empathy, active participation and care for wellbeing.

Thank You to Our Parent Advisory Committee

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the members of the Parent Advisory Committee for their invaluable contribution to St Edward’s College throughout the year. Your insights and feedback have played a vital role in shaping initiatives that enhance the learning experience and wellbeing of our students.

The Committee met four times during the year, with the final meeting held on Wednesday, November 19. At this meeting, discussion focused on two key areas:

  • Continuous Feedback in 2026 – exploring upcoming changes to student reporting, including the introduction of timely feedback following assessments.
  • Year 7 Wellbeing Education – gathering parent input on topics to support boys as they transition into high school, such as friendships, mental and physical health, and developing a positive mindset.

Earlier in the year, the Committee provided valuable feedback on:

  • Compass Implementation and Learning Goals
  • Proposed changes to the College Sport and Senior Uniform
  • Website Redevelopment and College Branding
  • Continuous Reporting

We deeply appreciate the time and commitment of our parent representatives. Your contributions help ensure that St Edward’s continues to grow as a dynamic and supportive learning community.

The work of the Committee will continue in 2026, and we will invite members of the St Edward’s community to join the Committee at the start of the year. This is a wonderful opportunity to collaborate and share ideas that shape the future of our College.

Year 12 Formal – A Night to Remember

The Year 12 Formal, held at Crowne Plaza on Friday, November 14, was a truly memorable celebration. Our graduating class, accompanied by their partners and many staff members, looked exceptional as they marked this significant milestone in style. The evening provided a wonderful opportunity to farewell this outstanding group of young men as they leave St Edward’s with excitement and anticipation for the future.

We extend our sincere thanks to Mrs Kellie Atkinson, our Enrolments and Parent Liaison Officer, for her exceptional organisation of this important event. Her dedication and attention to detail ensured the evening was a resounding success and a fitting tribute to the achievements of the Year 12 cohort.

To our graduates: Congratulations on reaching this milestone! We are incredibly proud of your achievements and the positive contribution you have made to the St Edward’s community. As you embark on the next chapter of your lives, we wish you every success and encourage you to pursue your goals with confidence, integrity, and passion.
