This state-wide competition sees participants deliver an eight-minute speech on a topic of their choice. Juan Jose presented an interesting and engaging speech on Dreams: why, how, and the origins of dreams and dreaming. After their prepared speech, speakers were given a topic that they then had three minutes to prepare a three-minute speech. The topic was ‘making a decision’ and Juan Jose put forward a personal take on finding the balance between two cultures.
