Adventures at Year 9 Camp
15.03.23
On Wednesday 8 March, Year 9 arrived at school early to embark on their camp at Wee Jasper, southwest of Yass.  It was a different climate compared to what the boys are used too, say goodbye to 20-degree nights and welcome to 4-degree fresh Autumn air.

The energy of the boys after they hopped off a four-and-a-half-hour bus ride was high, as they were eager to eat some lunch and get stuck into an afternoon of activities. They had some downtime after their first activity, many played touch football and cricket, while others preferred to sit with friends and share stories. We had a night bushwalk to wind down ahead of a massive day two, as the boys were required to complete three activities.

Students were given a goal ahead of camp, to talk to someone new over the three days. It was great to see that most boys did that, many making new friends over the three days.  It was also pleasing to see each student giving all activities a go, making this camp one that will be remembered forever.

College and camp staff were so pleased with the behaviour and efforts of the boys. In fact, a member of the public who was camping there shared positive feedback and was extremely impressed by how the boys expressed themselves.

Onto Jindabyne in Year 10!
