Over the holiday period, Shaylan Bennett, in Year 10, travelled to South Africa to compete in the Devonvale Boland International Junior Golf Tournament, an event open to players aged 14–23 years.

Shaylan delivered an outstanding performance, finishing second in the 15–18 years category and second overall on a countback. He narrowly missed out on qualifying for the European World Junior Championships, but his results reflect his exceptional skill and dedication.
