Callan Atherton and Jack Sullivan
Over the weekend, Jack Sullivan and Callan Atherton in Year 7, proudly represented Gosford Little Athletics at the Valour State Relay Championships, hosted by Athletics NSW at Blacktown International Sports Park. Competing in the Under 14's Teams Throw Relay, each athlete took on a different throwing event, with combined placings across the three disciplines determining the overall champions. Jack dominated in Shot Put while Callan delivered a winning performance in Discus — both securing first place in their events. Their outstanding individual achievements propelled their team to the top, earning them the title of State Champions. A fantastic effort from both boys!

Shaylan Bennett
Over the holiday period, Shaylan Bennett, in Year 10, travelled to South Africa to compete in the Devonvale Boland International Junior Golf Tournament, an event open to players aged 14–23 years. Shaylan delivered an outstanding performance, finishing second in the 15–18 years category and second overall on a countback. He narrowly missed out on qualifying for the European World Junior Championships, but his results reflect his exceptional skill and dedication. Well done, Shaylan — an incredible achievement on the international stage!

Billy McCarthy
We are incredibly proud to announce that Billy McCarthy, in Year 9, has taken out first place in the Under 15 Ironman category at the Coolangatta Gold Youth Challenge! This prestigious event is one of the highlights on the surf lifesaving calendar, testing endurance, skill, and determination across multiple disciplines. Billy’s outstanding performance is a testament to his dedication, perseverance, and commitment to training. Congratulations, Billy, on this remarkable achievement.

Alexander Kfoury
We are proud to share that during the September School holidays Alexander Kfoury in Year 7 attended the ANZAC Memorial, Sydney to receive the ‘Child of the Australian Defence Force Medallion’ recognising the unique challenges and perseverance of children aged 18 and under, whose parents serve in the Australian Defence Force. The medallion is a tangible symbol of their resilience and a way to acknowledge their contribution to the family unit and the Australian Defence Force member's ability to serve.

Medals at CCC Athletics
Outstanding Results at CCC Athletics Carnival Huge congratulations to our athletes who competed at the CCC Athletics Carnival at SOPAC Callan Atherton had a remarkable day, winning Gold in the Under 13 Discus, as well as earning Bronze in both the Under 13 Shot Put and Javelin. Jack Sullivan also shone, securing the Silver medal in the Under 13 Javelin. Riley Schroder delivered a fantastic performance, taking home the Bronze Medal in the Under 16 Multi-Class Discus with a throw of 8.3 m. Well done boys on your outstanding efforts and for representing our school with such determination and skill! Rasmus Borg
Congratulations to Year 9 student Rasmus Borg on his outstanding achievements in AFL this year. Rasmus first impressed at the AFL All Schools Tournament in Albury on 2–3 June, where he showcased exceptional skill, determination, and sportsmanship. His standout performance earned him selection to the NSW State Team for the National Championships in Queensland. Representing NSW at the School Sport Australia Championships in Brisbane later in July and early August, Rasmus competed against some of the nation’s strongest teams from the Southern and Western states. He and his NSW teammates delivered a commendable performance, finishing 5th overall in a highly competitive field.  An outstanding achievement from a very talented sportsperson.  Well done Rasmus

Liam van Eck Claims Double Cup Victory at State Rugby Championships Congratulations to Liam van Eck in Year 8, who proudly represented the Penrith District at the Under 13 Junior Rugby Union State Cup held in Orange at the start of June. Liam’s team delivered an outstanding performance throughout the tournament, going undefeated and securing victory in both the Sydney Cup and the State Cup. Their dominance on the field is a testament to the hard work, skill, and teamwork of the entire squad. Well done to Liam on this incredible achievement and for representing his team with pride!

Track and Field Record Breakers
Records Smashed in Spectacular Athletic Performances at the College Athletics Carnival! Some truly incredible performances lit up the track and field recently, as long-standing records came tumbling down in sensational style. In the Under 13 Discus event, Callan Atherton and Jack Sullivan treated spectators to a thrilling showdown. Both athletes shattered the existing record, but it was Callan who edged ahead with a mammoth throw of 43.41 metres, claiming top honours. Their fierce rivalry continued across the field events, with Callan also rewriting history in the Shot Put with a distance of 13.86 metres, while Jack stepped up in the Javelin, launching an impressive 36.01 metres to secure another Under 13 record. The boys' collective efforts meant all three Under 13 throwing records were broken—a phenomenal achievement that speaks volumes of their talent and determination. Not to be outdone, Cooper Jones stormed down the track in the Opens 100m sprint, clocking a blistering time of 11.35 seconds to claim a brand-new record in front of a roaring crowd.
