This is a great opportunity for a committed Apprentice Chef to join the Catering Department and bring their passion for exceptional food and service to the table.
The Company
Gosford RSL Club is a leading Registered Club on the Central Coast providing a range of facilities and services to our members and guests including food, beverage, entertainment, functions and accommodation. In particular, Luminous Brasserie provides seating for 180 guests and we are looking for a passionate Apprentice to work alongside our Executive Chef and other team members to service the brasserie and function guests.
The Role
At Gosford RSL Club you will have the opportunity to develop your skills within a diverse range of food offerings, including the Brasserie, Café, 88 Alley Asian cuisine and Functions. We will enrol you in Certificate III in Commercial Cookery with a selected training provider & organise an apprenticeship. You will be provided with on-the-job training and mentoring by our team of experienced Chefs and be required to attend TAFE or selected training provider one day per week. The position will require you to be available across a seven-day roster, including nights, weekends and public holidays- including Christmas Day.

The Role
Working in the Catering team will require but is not limited to;
- Washing up of all utensils, crockery and cutlery
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen
- Waste management
- Maintaining the cleanliness of all kitchen equipment
Late nights, weekend and public holiday work is a requirement of this role.
Skills & Attributes
- Motivation, enthusiasm and a great ‘can do’ team attitude
- Psychical ability to undertake the requirements of the role, including bending, lifting, pushing and carrying
