Literacy, Numeracy and NAPLAN Testing
In 2008, St Edwards College, along with all Australian schools, commenced sitting for the National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN).

The acquisition of adequate literacy and numeracy skills is a vital educational outcome for young people. Such skills have consequences for further study, labour market experiences and, more generally, social wellbeing.

At St Edward’s College we strive to work with each student to develop their literacy and numeracy skills. Our students are encouraged to use various techniques established in the classroom. Some of these are: TEEL and our School Editing Code. St Edward’s College students are continually encouraged to also develop their numeracy skills (both calculator and non-calculator).

Below are links to the techniques mentioned above, as well as information for NAPLAN.  For further information please contact Ms Lisa Alcorn, Literacy and Numeracy Coordinator on the College phone number 4321 6400.
