St Edward's | Curriculum Overview

St Edward’s College offers a broad curriculum with a range of educational experiences available. The curriculum is divided into three stages: Stage 4 (Years 7 and 8); Stage 5 (Years 9 and 10) and Stage 6 (Years 11 and 12).

The Stage 4 curriculum encompasses Religious Education, English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, Visual Arts, Music, Personal Development/Health/Physical Education and, Design and Technology with Year 8 students also studying French.

The Stage 5 curriculum consists of mandatory courses in Religious Education, English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography and Personal Development/Health/Physical Education. In addition two elective courses are chosen.

The Stage 6 curriculum leads to the award of the NSW Higher School Certificate at the end of Year 12. Religious Education and English are mandatory courses and Students can choose from a broad range of courses they have an interest in. Students may also choose to study one of the Vocational Education and Training Courses available either at the College’s Trade Training Centre or off campus at TAFE.
